The life changing art of finding your spark
You know that feeling you get when you create something from the heart? And it's like fireworks are exploding everywhere while unicorns prance around farting rainbows and shitting glitter. That excitement feeds my soul. I've been challenging myself to do more of it. Making time for me to create has made me a better mum. It helps to fill my cup, which overflows good vibes to my family.
By leaning into these firework feelings, I have fallen head over heels in love with free lensing. A photography technique where you detach the lens from your camera and tilt it to create peculiar planes of field. I play around with different shooting techniques like free lensing or shooting with prisms for my personal work and the weird ones are always my favourite. They evoke such deep feelings from within me. I've always loved 'different' and 'weird', maybe that's why I'm so drawn to these images. Maybe I'm finally beginning to find ME!
