Nightmares kept me awake again in the early hours of the morning. Although the nightmares are slowly becoming less frequent, they still shake me.
Determined not to allow it to set the tone for my day, I crawled out of bed at 4:04am, grabbed a blanket and my boobie boy, and snuck quietly into the backyard.
Setting up a comfy nest inside our trampoline, Hugo and I snuggled. He breastfed as we watched the pastel pink sunrise together, birds flying over us, breathing in the fresh morning air deep into our lungs. Releasing my fears as I exhaled.
We gazed at the moon peeking through the cotton candy clouds.
Hugo chatted with me in his most adorable 2yr old voice, excitement bubbling in his soul as he listened to the birds, geckos and our neighbour driving out of their driveway. His piercing blue eyes sparkling as the sun beams shone through the trees and kissed our skin.
Love conquers.
Magic heals.
